    Concerts and Music Info

    Hi guys,

Well we already have a thread about what new movies and DVDs are coming out soon, so I thought why not make a thread with information about bands touring soon, CDs to be released etc

    I'll start the ball rolling,

    1. Grinspoon touring all of Australia EXCEPT Perth and Tassie *cries* dates are on grinspoon.com. Single Hard Act To Follow is out Aug 9th and new album early September some time.

    2. Blink 182 are going to be doing some concerts in late August and early September, All concerts are over east (we just don't have much luck in Perth)

    3. Spiderbait are doing a tour (to promote their album I'm assuming), they are yet another band not visiting Perth! They are going to Tassie though!

Also feel free to talk about concerts you went to and what you thought etc. Or recent releases that you liked or didn't like etc

Check out this link for Splendour in the Grass bands playing in places in Sydney.

    *sigh*

Why do all good bands have to play in over-18-only venues? The Eskies, Hoobastank, all the MMM Garage Sessions...

Well this is not concert related but is music related:

I think Jet are going to be on The Late Show with David Letterman tonight (unless we are a few episodes behind which sometimes happens).
If someone can confirm that Kristen Davis (from the tv show sex and the city) and Ali G were on last night we will know for sure)

According to Yahoo TV guide it's on at 1.00am in Melbourne but check your local guides just in case. The bands are usually on at the end of the show

You're in luck Darcy, the only tickets that have prices on them are the Perth tickets: $22 + booking fee for the presale, $25 at the door.

The Living End also have a special collection CD and DVD coming out in September. Can't wait .

I can confirm that - Kristin was on last night (and looking breathtaking, as always). And "Ali G" aka Sacha Baron Cohen got a full two segments, including a clip. Dave must be a real fan of the show (and who can blame him). Sacha was great as well.

In addition, Dave did announce that Jet would be on tonight.
